Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. She is renowned for her films like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). She was raised by an artistic family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in arts. She began as a photo assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. Her first two movies got noticed and earned her the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was an enormous success that earned her fame worldwide and also an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. After just three short films, MacGraw was declared the most successful female at the box office in history. In 1972, her foot-prints as well as autograph was engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she played a part in the tv miniseries The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
