Zoe-perry
Perry was born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both her two appearances on Roseanne. She did not pursue acting as a career until after she had reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being afraid of the negative impact stress might cause. Perry was shy during high school and didn't act. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred from Boston University. After graduating Perry moved in New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought her back to California and she was able to find acting work. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie alongside her in 2015. Perry starred in nine episodes in 2016 of the ABC drama The Family. Perry played a prominent role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. The actress was also featured on her role on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother. The character was chosen via auditions having a strong association with it.
