The childhood of Pickler was not a smooth one. Her mother left her at the age of two to escape from the abuse of her partner. In 1995, she returned to Pickler's world and gained custody. It was, however, not an enjoyable encounter. The grandparents of Pickler raised her from 12 up to the age of the age of adulthood. Pickler could not be a parent to her children in their absence. Pickler admitted that she no longer had time to read and began learning how to become a housekeeper from a very young age. Pickler played cheerleading in her high and middle schools.
